           High Spirits was built behind the bar, one pour and one conversation at a time. Our journey began when I got my very first job in the food and beverage industry at sixteen — but it wasn’t until 2021, bartending at a small, local restaurant and bar, that I truly fell in love with the craft. From mixing fun, fruity cocktails to serving “a damn good Old Fashioned,” I found joy not just in the drinks but in the people — the stories they shared, the wisdom they offered, and the friendships that have lasted long after last call. 

           It was behind that same bar that I met my boyfriend, Harrison Whaley — my partner in life and now in business. Harrison started in the food and beverage industry back in 2012 and has been bartending since 2017. With years of experience and a genuine passion for the craft, he’s taught me so much along the way. Together, we grew from small-town service to bustling nights behind the bar at downtown Lexington’s nightclubs and dance spots. That path led us to bartending weddings, where we discovered our true passion: being part of life’s biggest celebrations. 

           At High Spirits, we believe every guest deserves to feel included and cared for. That’s why we’re proud to craft thoughtful mocktail menus for guests who choose not to drink, so no one ever feels left out at the bar.
