High Spirits started like most good things in our life did, behind a bar in Lexington, Kentucky. I (Breanna) got my first food and beverage job at sixteen, working everything from hosting to serving and eventually bartending. I enjoyed it all, but in 2021, when I was mixing drinks at a small local bar, something just clicked for me. I loved making cocktails, but I honestly loved the conversations more. The bar became this place where I got to meet people from all walks of life, celebrate their wins, and listen to stories that stuck with me long after closing time.
Harrison had already been in hospitality since 2012 and started bartending professionally in 2017, so when we met behind that same local bar, it just felt normal to fall into the rhythm of working side by side. When I say he taught me almost everything I know, I mean that in the realest way. Over the years we found ourselves behind the bar at busy downtown Lexington spots, then private events, and finally weddings. That’s when we both realized this was the environment we cared about the most — not just serving drinks, but being part of something meaningful. Being trusted on one of the happiest days of someone’s life is honestly an honor and we never take that for granted.
We chose a dry hire mobile bartending model because we want clients to feel completely in control of what they’re serving and how much they’re spending. You pick the alcohol, set the tone, and control the budget, and we step in to take care of the rest if needed, (setup, bar tools, fresh juices pressed the day of, mixers, garnishes, décor, breakdown, and cleanup). For events that don’t need anything other than experienced bartenders, we also offer staffing on its own. No packages, no added fluff, just solid bartending with a clean and polished presence.
And we mean it when we say every guest matters. We’ll always make sure non-drinkers have something enjoyable at the bar too. Mocktails get the same level of attention and presentation — not out of obligation, but out of respect. We care about allergies, preferences, cultural traditions, and making sure people never feel overlooked when they’re ordering from us. A great bar isn’t just drinks lined up nicely, it’s good flow, good hospitality, and details that feel intentional and thoughtful without feeling forced.
Today, High Spirits exists because we genuinely want to bring ease to celebration planning and service. We want you to enjoy your event without stressing over staffing, shopping lists, or bar timing. We handle the logistics and the details you choose so your group isn’t stuck waiting in long lines for a drink or rushing around after the last toast. We realize every event is different, every budget is personal, and every celebration deserves its own kind of care. Whether it’s your wedding weekend, a milestone with work, or a gathering that just needs good bartending behind it, we’re here to show up, serve well, and make the whole thing feel smooth and beautiful from start to finish.
